A Particularly Nice 1795 Capped Bust Gold Eagle
Among regular issue Federal coins in our upcoming Philadelphia Americana Auction (September 30 – October 2) is a particularly nice 1795 Capped Bust gold eagle. This coin is AU-53 (PCGS) and is one of several scarce die pairings of the year. What makes this coin truly outstanding it the original quality of the surfaces.
